- Max 64 Voice Polyphony (38 voices with Reverb, Chorus & Spatial Effects)
- Standard 26-Pin Wavetable Header Pinout for Maximum Compatibility
- Small Footprint PCB for Tight Installations
- Microphone Input for “Karaoke” Support – With Programmable Echo
- Requires only 5 Volts DC to Operate
Additional Information:
The SAM2695 IC is a high-fidelity extensible synthesizer and supports many effects. While it natively supports a default General MIDI instrument set, it also has an optional MT-32 compatible set as well. It also includes a few different drum sets, including one to round out the MT-32 support. MIDI control commands can be sent to select the program set desired.
The SAM2965 is primarily used in smaller synthesizers, cell phones and karaoke machines. As such, the chip has a microphone input which is mixed with the MIDI audio and output through the module. You can apply an echo-effect to the mike and control the levels via the internal mixer of the SAM2695. The input requires a low impedance microphone, 50-100 ohms ideally. Custom NRPN messages may be sent to enable the microphone, its level and the effects associated with it.
